What about 98s?
I just put my replacement Edelbrock shocks on, (under warranty, thanks to
that nice person that told me to try again, I forget who that was...), and
four new Toyo Proxe tires on...what a difference in the ride, just amazing.

I don't know about your '99, but the BJs on my '98 weren't greasable, and
the units they were replaced with under warranty in '99 or '00 were not
greasable either.
for the record, I was on track for my 4th complete set of balljoints in
113,000 miles when I did my SAS.
