On my 97 4x4 the bottom joints are greaseable, but the top ones aren't. But
a little while ago someone on the DML gave me some advice on how to grease
the top ones. Insert the needle adapter of the grease gun in between where
the rubber boot meets the metal on the bottom of the Ball Joint and give it
a few squirts. I've been doing this now since 1998 and my Ball Joints are
still fine. I thought after awhile if not properly done, the grease would
squeeze out but after greasing it I check it a couple days later and it's
great. I guess I'm doing it right :-)
P.S. Thanks to the DML member that gave me this tip.
