Mini spool would be the easiest thing to lock the rear end. It's a lump of
metal that replaces the spyder and side gears. You can install it without
removing the carrier or messing with bearing/gear setup.

Unless you are going to make the offroad or drag only locking the rear end is
not something you want to do with a street driven vehicle. If you still plan to
drive the streets an air-locker diff would be the way to go. It will allow you
to lock or run open via a switch in the truck.
