The thought the bought a cash cow. After the deal the realized that Chrysler had some
fatal flaws. The had successes with the new Minivan, Cloud cars, Neon and Trucks.
Howeve, they did what state governments did during the tech boom when tax dollars
were fklowing like water. They stopped being efficient. Their internal costs rose like
crazy. The actually ran out of money to bring new designs to market. Daimler didn't
figure thsi out until after the deal was done. This is the complete truth. No one is a
bigger Mopar fan than I, but Chrysler was not in as good a shape as teh anti-Daimler
people would have you believe.
