Yes you can, but would recommend that you try to get the upgrades downloaded
from a broadband connection and put onto a CD for upgrading her machine.
There's quite a few holes that need to be plugged - even with the IE6SP1
upgrade.

I'm helping a friend with some Win 98 problems.
She Upgraded to IE 6
how ever When I go to Windows update it shows it needs security updates
installed back to 1999. She is on dial-up it will take forever.
My question: do I need to do all them before installing the IE 6 service
pack or doesn't it matter?
