Does the engine sound "funny" (on the cranking cycle) to the point of not
sounding like it normally did?
Yes, that works but would be careful when cranking the 3.3/3.8L engine over
with a broke chain/belt.
On the Caravans...the fuel pump does make a nasty "whirring" noise on
initial key-on. If all you're hearing is a "click" but no other noises...it
very well could be the pump that decided to take a dump (wouldn't be the
first Caravan the died like this). Check all the basics though.
