I wondered if traction might have been a problem. My best 60' has
been 2.08, according to your DragTruk entry, yours is 2.21, so that
accounts for somewhere in the neighborhood of 1-2 tenths, which would
put you at 14.24-14.34, assuming you hooked up the same as my Dak. Even
14.24 seems higher than what should be possible. Probably you are heavier
than me, so that might knock another tenth or two off, putting you at
14.0s all else being equal. It just seems like there should have been
something more in there though. HEat/humidity may have played a role.
According to the 1/4mi calculations I have always used which have been
quite accurate in the past, even figuring a race weight as high as 4400lbs,
which is being very generous, it is telling me the time would come in just
under 13.8s (this is assuming around 330hp at the motor). Who knows,
maybe just one of those things where a bunch of little factors conspire
together to create a big difference - just kinda struck me as odd and
thought I'd ask.
: Granted...it's still a V6, but with V8 times and V8 power (while still
: getting 17-19mpg)...that ain't bad. ;)
True enough. Can't complain myself; even with the V8 which naturally
comes with the V8 times and power :-) I manage to pull down 18-21mpg.
(Usually I only see 21 on longer highway trips.)
