Maybe, almost. I don't know about other model years, but on my 2000,
the lever operated transfer case is set up like this:
4-lo
|
neutral
|
2wd
|
4-hi
So if it were already in 4-hi, you would have to first push into 2wd (no
big deal), then neutral and *then* into 4-lo, which actually requires a
little bit of tought. I guess if you were still in park, it wouldn't be
that difficult to get it into 4-lo.... but you would really have to be
an idiot. I suppose we have already established that this fine piece of
work was one, though. :-)
