Has it ever been serviced? It should be done every 60k

Subject: DML: Rear Diff fill plug

Noticed the yoke was seeping, so cleaned off the crud
around the fill plug, and went to remove it, and it was
quite loose in the hole. I doubt it would hold fluid if I
parked on a steep hill ! Is this the normal state of the
piug, or
has it shrunk from age, and should I replace it ?
I topped off the fluid with the AMSOIL 90W gear oil I've
been
using, only a tiny bit low, but had a fair amount of froth
/ air bubbles, and had been parked for a bit & cold.
