I tried them too, I thought the Silver Stars were just as bright, but then,
I am blind.

Subject: DML: Pissed off about Silver Stars
Well gang today I decided that was too damn sick and tired of driving my
2003 Dakota with the dim as candles head lights. So I purchased a set of
Silver Stars, supposed to be 2 or 3 times brighter than stock head lights,
learned that I tried really hard I could bend my arm in 4 different
directions at the same time and proceeded to start to change the stock
lights.
The only nice thing is I did learn you can do the passenger side without
taking anything apart (as long as you don't have the stock intake elbow on).
Get the old bulb out and lo and behold it's a bloody Silver Star from the
factory. Same part number only 2 differences were the date code and the new
ones have a silver o-ring while the old ones have an orange o-ring.
So what kind of bulbs do I need so I can see at night?????
