I've been running 87 Pump gas from Sunoco, and according to the service
records it's still bone stock under the hood, a visual inspection confirms
it.
The 03' Neon only has 22K miles on it, approaching 23K Soon.......
I'm planning to switch the engine oil lubricants over to Mobil-1 soon, that
might help some too...

Yeah cause some people put platinum plugs in, and the car runs like crap.
Also you could replace the PCV valve, those tend to clog. Make sure you put
regular in.

It's actually a 4spd ATX(41TE(as opposed to the 3spd+lockup TC /31TH on the
01 and older Neons)).
