Why are you so amazed the 5.7l LS1 in the Z06 Corvette was 405HP last year and
the new 6.1l Hemi is 425 HP. The 7.0l LS7 (same basic design as the LS2) that
is coming latter this year in the Covette is 500HP and the 8.0L in the new
Viper Coupe is 550HP.

A mopar crate 360/380 is rated at 380HP but every dyno test I have seen has the
engine producing around 420HP once the timing and carb are dialed in.

I am expecting around 375-400HP out of the mildly hot 360 I have built for my
68 Barracuda.
