From what I have seen, carbon fiber seems to lay up about the
same as fiberglass, its just a bit more pricey. :-) Maybe clear
or tinted plexiglass/lexan with lighting designed to make the
whole center console glow? Of course, there's always the sheet
metal route. Or for a really unique center console - CNC machined
billet aluminum. ;-)
