New member with a question

Hello to all. I have read some of the past posts to the list and it is
very informative. I belong to a similar list for my '87 Jag and learned
an unbelievable amount from others and their experiences; hope to have
the same success with this list. I do have a question that hopefully
someone out there can help with.

So I'm driving down the road with my cruise control on and all is fine.
All of a sudden the cruise drops off. I look at my instrument panel and
the speedometer is at zero and my ABS and Brake warning lights are on. I
look down again and the Speedometer is working but both ABS and Brake
warning lights are still on. When I got to where I was going, I pulled
the fuse for the ABS in the drivers side dash fuse access panel, the
fuse looked good but put in a new fuse since I didn't have a meter with
me to properly check. Start the truck again and everything is working
properly. Go back on the road and again the ABS and Brake warning lights
come on but this time the Speedometer is intermittently working.
Sometimes it works all the time, sometimes not. Usually if I pull the
fuse and re-insert it everything returns to normal. I disconnected the
battery, thinking maybe it would reset the computer and magically fix
the problem; it worked for two full days, but now it's back to doing the
same thing again. I'm thinking there is a common relay or sensor
somewhere. What do you think? I have a Haynes book but it does not show
any schematics (that I found anyhow) for the ABS/Brake light and
speedometer.

Has anyone had this problem? Can you direct me to a good source for a
schematic diagram?

Any and all responses are more than welcome.

Thanks to all ahead of time.

Charlie
