Not sure about a Gen II, but Gen III isn't too bad, and the suspensions are
very similar.

I've done 2 front ends on Gen IIIs in the past several years in my driveway
with hand tools.

If you don't have a grinder, you'll need to take the a-arms to a shop for
removal of the rivets. New balljoints are bolt ins.
