re: internet service at the campground

there's also a Junxion box. It connects several PCs ( either wired and 802.11 ) to the
Sprint or Verizon cellular network. Speeds up to 600 kbits/sec are possible.
 Here's the junxion box: http://www.junxion.com/product/

The card slot in front of it is for a variety of the those Cellular Modem PC cards from
Sierra Wireless. here one card:
http://www.sierrawireless.com/ProductsOrdering/AC580EVDO.asp

The Junxion box does: NAT, DHCP, and routing.

Setup looks like this:

[ PC ]----
          |
[ PC ]------------[ Junxion Box ]------[ SierraWireless PC Card ]------[ Sprint ]
          |
[ PC ]----

By the way, The AirCard 580 PC card are great in laptops too. That card supports
high-speed service in 2 flavors:

1xRTT -which is available all over US. but is older and slower. ( ~ 160 kbits/sec )
1xEV-DO -which is available in about 30 cities and is faster ( ~ 600 kbits/sec )

You can by the cards at Verizon and Sprint stores now.
