Yah, I would say you are right on Walt....holy cow! Where do you live that
you have bears? Maybe, (you have likely thought of it already) you should
let the forest service or whomever know the bears are in your area.

For the last several days, I've been having an ongoing battle with some
squirrels that are tearing up our bird feeders here at the house, last night
Ingrid woke me at 2AM because of a loud screeching noise outside our window.

This is what I discovered.

I guess she really did hear something. As far as I'm concerned, they can
raid
the bird feeders because I'm not telling them to leave. When the one on the
right stood up on his rears to yank down the feeder, I would guess he stood
about 7 feet high. The one on the left was slightly smaller. Needless to
say, I
found all the bird feeders, the glass gazing ball from the rose garden, my
gas
grill from the deck along with a couple of wind socks my wife hung up and
several tiki torches scattered all over the yard this morning.
