If the O2 is shorted...it can cause problems (cold or hot). If the problem
is only on cold startup...yes, the O2 is ignored. Clean out the EGR port
though.

Wouldn't the O2 sensor cause problems only after warm up? My understanding
is the ECM doesn't pay attention to the O2 data until after warm up right?
If that is true - that would seem to suggest its not O2 sensor related -
because this is a probem at cold start up?
