Good story aboput the "you don't need...". The same thing kept my
parents out of a Caravan back when they still offered all wheel drive
since "you don't need that, front wheel drive is enough. we don't have
any on the lot anyway". Ended up with an AWD GMC Safari instead that
served well for 12 years and almost 170,000 and got through many snow
storms that would have had a front drive quivvering in a corner. If only
it hadn't driven like a sloppy POS - at least my dad liked it and it was
his ride so that's what's important. Landed him in another GM product too
(which has been lots of nitpicky trouble) so more money in their pockets.
