Is there any place online I can find this cat? The guy who is doing my
exhaust work is a pro but a little shop and doesn't carry alot of parts and
cannot really get performance parts, in the past I have bought the parts
ahead of time and just paid him his labor. Will a faulty cat really cause
that much of a problem? I don't have emissions here, is there anyway I can
take the stock cat and gut it just to se if that is the real culprit? Also
a while back I had a bad intake gasket and was sucking oil through the
exhaust would that have caused problems with the sensors? Is it worth it to
replace the o2 sensor when the cat is out? I've just never had a bad cat
cause this kind of problem. Is this a common problem for Dakotas? I seem
to hear complaints about the cats quite often...

Thanks for putting up with my long winded posts!

-Definitely sounds like the cat is plugged/broke.
-
-You can use a CarSound High-Flow as they are the least expensive
-and do last
-quite some time - depending on your area...about $100-$150 for the cat +
-labor to put it in.
-
-On getting the codes from the cluster, have a local parts store run their
-code scanner (much easier and it's FREE).
