How the tubing is bent and how it's pulling it from the fender is somewhat
restrictive. A open element will make a difference (already went that route
on an '05 Dakota 4.7L).

This is probably a dumb question, but it sure looks like the 05 Dak 4.7L
already has a factory CAI on it... it's pulling air from thru the passenger
side fender, so is there going to be an performance increase going to a K&N
or home brew CAI? Seems to me if you drop in a K&N filter, thats about all
you really need to do for it.
