as per the Catera, you are right. the GTO is just a rebadged Catera.
hmmm... i always thought it was FWD. i guess it just went up a slight notch
on my scale of importance.

GM's RWD/AWD Sigma Architecture is the platform that started it all.
Cadillac was down in sales and a fix was needed for the brand. GM failed to
lure buyers away from the lower side of the luxury car market with their
Catera so they headed back to the drawing board.

An all new platform was designed for GM NA (and eventually the world). This
platform is Sigma. Built at GM's Lansing Craft Center, Sigma also powers the
Cadillac SRX and GM's new STS.
