Tom, how amazing that you quoted what your grandfather said. My grandfather
taught me much the same thing. He always said, "Do one thing and do it
well." But his life was all about pursuing his passions (plural!) and
living the best possible life, no matter what the cost. He did many things
well, and each thing he did he did it the best he possibly could. He didn't
bother striving for perfection. I can only hope I live my life based on his.
And, yes, lifes little headaches are starting to get to me. Not being able
to afford my next race car. And having to listen to a few well-meaning but
totally off-base people give me advice on life, racing, why I don't date (a
complex conundrum, but it's roots stem from my ambitions...).
Thanks for the feedback!
Most sincerely yours,
Traci
