Fan Clutch

Is there a way to tell if a stock '93 3.9 fan clutch is working properly
(engine out of truck). While holding the water pump pulley still, the fan
spins freely (3 or 4 revolutions) with a good push.
Are they cheap enough to replace anyway since there's 150,000 miles on it?
