In my 2000 4.7, I believe the manual only says to use 5w30 in climates
where the temperature is sometimes below freezing. Since there are only
one or two days a year here where the temperature is that cold, I've
stuck to the standard 10w30 as recommended by the owners manual and the
dealership's service department..
