Help with two things

Hi guys. Yes, I am still here just not posting as much. I finally
have the truck back on the road but the A/C compressor went out and I
may have found a new one for a good price. The question I have is
this. Does anyone on the list know if this part number 55055540 will
fit a '96 dakota? It is listed as for a '98-'01 Dakota/ Durango but
aren't the compressors pretty much the same? Not sure but figured I
would ask before I bought it.

The second question is this. I am fixing up the old dakota and I am
going for a sort of retro look to it. I'll post pictures to Jon as
soon as I can. I am lookiing for those Mopar tube bumpers that were
offered as an accessory on the Gen II dakota. IF interested what they
look like chock out Jim Knox's truck in the picture archives. Anyway,
anyone out there that may have a bead on one in good shape? I have
one but it got tagged and I can use parts off of it (you can
completely disassemble the thing) and would like to just get another
on in real good shape. The tubes can have a good amount of surface
rust and even a ding but the end caps and step are what I am trying
to get in good shape. One from a '96 would be the best since it was
slightly different and I prefer the look to it.

If any of you guys can help with either one please let post it here.

Thanks,
Jeff Durling
