Points Standing Update

Hi Ray,

The track updated the standings today and it looks like
I've got my work cut out for me in the last two races.

I'm now in 5th place. The Maxima that was two non-buy-back
wins going into the Labour Day weekend is not two wins
ahead of me.

The thing that surprised me is that the person, who is
in 3rd and was tied with me going into last weekend, is
now 5 wins ahead of me, and he didn't even show up
either day last weekend. I would sure like to have a weekend
like that :-P

His son ran both days and I lost to him in round 3 on Saturday.
It looks like they credited the father with the son's wins. I know
that we can designate a co-driver at the start of the season and
that the points will count no matter who is behind the wheel but
you've got to be running with the same race car. The father
races a '38 Model T with a '70 Olds engine and the son races
a 64 Rambler with a Chev 350.

The father has been in top three of Street ET for many, many seasons.
Both are top notch racers and character people as well. I'll wait to see
how this shakes out and then decide if a protest should be filed.
If the final standings stay the same, the pay-out difference between
4th and 5th is only $25.

It looks like Sunday will be a bit warm but with a tailwind.

Bob
