Ok, stay dry and ride safe Bob. I had a 69 Sporty, chopper, had the old
magneto, no battery at all. Right side shifter and all, rode like crap but
I loved it. Built it out of a true basket case, it was in apple bushel
baskets and half was missing. It took me nine months to assemble and find
parts, a front end, cylinders, etc...what a beautiful pita it was.

Hey, Rascal...
<snip> Did you get those lights working?<snip>
Actually, the lowbeams work fine.
I haven't had the problem recur, mainly cuz I haven't dared to use the
hi-beams since it happened (plus I'm broke...)
I got the Sporty a windshield (which took all my disposable $$$ ) & if it
doesn't threaten to rain, I ride the HD...
If I get near Clifton Park Dodge World next week, after my retirement check
comes in,
I'll pick up the switch & get it in...
