Something's wrong there, I think. I hauled my dad's Stratus once with my
'96 (3.9L/automatic 4x4), and it slowed down quite noticably on steep hills,
but it didn't have any trouble at all with straights/downhills/moderate
uphills. And that truck had two less cylinders than you do, more body
length, and an automatic. And, it was built like a brick! ;)
