It's been described as "a bit of surface rust," which is about how my '95
Dakota looks as well. Mark said he could get it on the road for around six or
seven hundred (based on having the work done at a mechanic), he just doesn't
want to bother. With the gas prices these days, it won't take very long for
it to pay for itself, even if it looses all of its resale value because I
decide to drive it until it disintegrates.
The safety check is a good point, though. Do you know anyone who will check a
vehicle out and tell me what it needs in order to pass the safety, without
formally doing the inspection and reporting the failure?
