Just curious, but is it possible that the Delo oil did more cleaning in less
time then the other oils? Which if that where the case that would make it a
better oil? Just a couple thoughts, correct me if I'm looking at it wrong.

Subject: DML: Diesel oils vs Mobil 1 [was Filters, then Mobil 1]

I tried using Delo for an oilchange about a year ago. Oil analysis
[blackstone] told me that, essentially, after 2500 miles, the Delo was
in about the same condition as Mobil 1 10w30 after 4000, and 5w30 after
2500 and worse than 15w50 after 5500. Blackstone advised me that 3000
miles would be the limit for this oil, compared to the 5000 mile
interval they suggested for the 15w50. I switch between 10w30 in the
winter and 15w50 in the summer.

On a positive note, Blackstone noted no significant differences between
the K&N filters I normally use and the Supertech [wallyworld] filters I
tried for a couple of oilchanges... But I consider it sorta false
economy to try to save $30 a year on filters for a $25k truck, YMMV.
