There's a procedure in the Factory Service Manual that "tests" the LSD
by pulling a torque on one wheel. If you're salvage searching for
axels, I recommend you do this procedure to make sure you're getting a
healthy LSD. You wouldn't want to get home hook it all up and then find
you have one of my old "open" LSDs.

ratio and detect the presence or absence of sure grip, if you
can get both rear tires in the air and put the trans in neutral.
Spin one of the tires; if the other tire goes in the same direction
you are turning the tire, its got sure grip, if it goes in the
