Jay,

If the truck hesitates slightly with light pressure on the gas, and/or the truck idles
poorly, try checking the EGR valve.

It happened to me about a week ago. I would apply about 5% throttle and the damn thing
near dies. Then I put it into reverse to park in parking spot and it did die! So
parked, left it idling while I opened the hood. I could hear a hissing sound from the
EGR valve at 5% throttle that wasnt there before. So I pulled the vacuum line between
the EET ( the EET is the solenoid thingy that controls the EGR valve ) and the EGR. And
bingo! She started to run better. I put the hose back and she runs poorly at idle. And
practically would stall at 5% throttle. I got a new one from rockauto for $40.
