Mine is running too cool, only about 1/4 up the gauge so I am putting a Fail
Safe 195 degree thermostat in it.

Long extension with a magnet or something to cause it to stay on the socket.
With the hose left on the water neck it will eventually get persuaded out.
Once out carefully bend or cut the ear off so it will go in and out easier
next time.

Somebody tell me the trick to getting the thermostat out of my 98 318, looks
way down in there...do you move any of the other mounts out of the way? The
bolts look accessible but man, its down in there....mine runs too darn cool
in this KY cold weather.

NAPA is usually the easiest to find.
