Another option for hosting photos is one of the free Car sites.
DodgeTruckWorld.Com has a feature that allows members to have a personal
Gallery. CarDomain.Com is another and I'm sure there are quite a few more.
I have a profile & gallery on DTW: http://www.dodgetruckworld.com/WaltFelix/ in
addition to my personal site.
A disposable will work, a lot of photo developing places have the option to get
your photos on CD in addition to the film prints. My wife still uses a 35mm
and gets the CD every time she drops a roll off. At least until Christmas when
I give her the new 8mp Digital I just bought for her. She finally started
playing with my Digital last year and was starting to like to convenience.
However, she's not really computer savvy so I'll be responsible for
transferring the photos from the camera to her laptop and then up to our photo
albums on out web page for her to share with family and friends.
Yep, the Solar Yellow is a rare color though I think Amber Fire is even rarer.
My 2000 Ram is the last Solar Yellow Ram built for the 2000 model year. At
least that was what I've been told. When I originally ordered the truck in
August 1999, the order kept getting kicked back by Dodge because I was trying
to combine a few options that apparently couldn't be combined. For example, I
ordered the Stereo with the CD changer controls but also the audio controls in
the steering wheel, I had to switch to another dash unit to get the steering
wheel controls. Then it was kick back again because I was trying to get the
new Off-Road package, which the dealer didn't even have a price for yet, and
the Sport Package with the Solar Yellow paint. Dodge first said I couldn't
order the Off-Road package with the Sport Package on the same truck, but I
questioned that because the Off-Road brochure the dealer had just received from
Dodge Corporate had a photo of a Red Off-Road Sport on the cover. Then as we
(the dealer and I) questioned it, it turned out that the Solar Yellow trucks
were only being built on an assembly line in St. Louis and the Off-Road package
trucks were only coming out of another plant, so if I wanted the Off-Road, I
had to switch to another color. The color was the one option I was stubborn
about, everything else was negotiable. When we finally got the final order
submitted, I left the dealer and by the time I got home, they had left me a
message that they just received word the Solar Yellow was officially
discontinued. The Sales Manager (a friend from the car club I'm in) said he
wasn't sure if we got the order in on time or not and he wouldn't know for a
few days. Several weeks went by and we hadn't heard anything so I called the
Dodge Customer Support number to inquire about the order status. When I finally
was connected to one of their support reps, I was told my truck came off the
St. Louis assembly line the night before and 9:12PM (Sept 12, 1999). I told the
guy about how the order kept getting kicked back and he put my on hold for a
few, then came back and said he searched the system and no Solar Yellow trucks
came off the line after mine and there were no out standing orders for that
paint code. He said I got the last one, but I couldn't convince him to send me
something on official Dodge letterhead stating that. I was a little disapointed
when they re-released to color for a week, mid-way through the 2001 model year
(which was started early because of CAFE credit issues with the EPA, Jan 1,
2000).
Then when I saw the first Rumble Bee, "Damn, they brought it back again!" Oh
well, it still my favorite color on the Ram even though there's a house about a
mile from me that has two Amber Fire Rams in the driveway and I think they look
really sharp.
