Wow, most vehicles only have that piece of the dash clipped on. Why not just
extend the wires? That's what I had to do in my Dak.

So you took the more difficult alternative because it looked like less work
then? Cool. Just remember that the silicone will look like ass in 6 months
after it's all discolored and peeling.

Congrats on your first install though. It doesn't sound like you faired too
bad.
