Strange 2-pin connector. What is it?

ok, this may seem strange but I have an unidentified connector hanging from the wiring
harness. nothing is connected to it. and it has got me curious as to what its for.

ok. this connector has just 2 contacts. it's in the wiring harness behind the
alternator. in fact, it comes from the some main harness connector that sits on the
passenger-side valve cover as the IAT and the Coolant temp sensor and the ECT sender do.

the wire colors and sizes are...
  #1 wire: Light-green with Brown tracer 18AWG
#2 wire: Black with white tracer 18AWG

The connector style is 2-conductor "parallel blade" and is identical to the one used for
the hood lamp disconnect. ( the connector I talking about here is on the firewall near
the hinge and goes to the hood. )

So, with all that said, does anyone know what it could be for?
I looked in the FSM. No luck. Couldn't find anything about it.
