Thanks anyway Tom, yeah, I never like fast charging, but nothing else would
work. It wasn't very cold, about 50 degrees and in a garage, but after two
days now, its still fully charged and working fine so I guess I got away
with it. I appreciate the advice nonetheless.

eww bad idea...
Optimas = slow charge only... 2, 4 amps max. If an Optima dies totally
- bring it indoors and trickle charge at least 12 hours to bring it back
up. They just won't do it under any other circumstances. Trying to fast
charge one will more than likely ruin it.
I forget where you live Rick, but if its cold at all... thats not going
to help. The colder a battery is the longer a battery will take to charge.
