Re: Torque converter in & out

There is no slippage associated with what's happening with my truck or any kind
of noise. It's definately the torque convertor un-locking for a split second
then locking back up. The TPS seems like a good possibility if it had a bad
spot on the resitive element or the wiper was loose. The TV cable seems less
likely since I have experienced this with the cable adjusted to FSM specs and
set tighter than spec. Could be a loose / bad connection at the tranny. All of
these are things I will check this week end.

Since this is a very suttle thing right now that I have only experienced on the
hiway I won't consider going into the tranny until it gets much worse.

 I took it back and forth to three different dealers. Had one service manager
ride with me with the portable device plugged in; he told me it was "normal"!

the code. They replaced a govenor speed sensor switch and govenor pressure
switch (iirc). I can look it up for you if you want. It was not a cheap fix;
and, after about 1 year it has started doing it again.

luck with it, at this point it is more agravating than anything else as you
will just stop using the cruise control.
