Yea, I'd check for a loose wire somewhere. The Antilock Brake Controller (CAB)
monitors input signals from the rear wheel speed sensor, brake lamp switch,
brake warning lamp switch, reset switch and 4WD switch (on a 4x4) and outputs
signals to the RWAL Valve, ABS Warning Lamp and brake warning lamp and the
speedometer.
If one of those inputs are lost, all kinds of things are going to light up or
not work correctly. Since it seems to happen when you apply the brake or hit a
bump, besides checking the rear wheel sensor, I would check the leads from the
brake lamp switch. A loose or shorted wire could cause what you are describing.
