And lookin for a job...
The trip went pretty well, all except for fuel economy. Lifted Cherokee
towing 3000 pound trailer does NOT equal good gas mileage...
And when it got really cold on the 2nd day of the trip, like -35C cold, -50C
with the windchill, the Jeep was VERY sluggish and it was tough to maintain
any speed over 50 mph.
First day i took it easy and drove about 13 hours, but i had only slept
about 4 hours the nigtht before. So, got a cheapy motel room in Sauk Center
Minnesota, ya i never heard of it before either, but at least it was only 37
bucks, and i slpt about 9 hours.
Woke up on day 2 around 5:30 am and hit the road again. When i stoppd for
my first gas-up a few hours later it had gotten A LOT colder and i started
noticing the Jeep's performance slipping...
I drove all day and around 10:00 pm i was near Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and
decided to push on the rest of the way. Still had 6 hours to go...
I do have a block heater on the Jeep, but being from Windsor, i'm sure it
had never been used. I imagined being awoken in the midle of the night by
an exploding fireball that used to be a Cherokee due to a short from the
block heater caused by 3 years of offroad abuse in mud and chest deep
water...
So that was my reasoning for pushing on after being on the road for 16 hours
already that day. ;)
So, i rolled into Sherwood Park (suburb of Edmonton Alberta) a little after
4 am clocking around 22 hours on the road that day. Ya, i took it easy this
time. lol
Anyways, Jackie was waiting up for me, and i proposed to her before i
stepped inside.
And yes, she even accepted. :D

Two words, figure it out.....
