I use the polygraphite in the front end of a '73 Pontiac daily driver.
After a while, they started making noise sometimes in cold weather. Wasn't
really a squeak but rather more of a squishy sound like you'd expect a shock
absorber to make, or like you'd expect squishing rubber to sound like. You
only notice it when you are going slow and one of the front wheels hit a
bump to make the suspension work. Going down the road it is not loud enough
to be noticeable.
One thing I do to my old daily drivers a lot is spray motor oil all around
underneath and I hit the ends of those bushings as much as I can with the
motor oil in case it needs a little of that oil to seep into the joint to
keep it alive. That may help some. The car does track more solidly with
the new polygraphite than it did with the factory rubber ones.

Speaking of which - does anyone have any opinions on poly vs rubber
bushings in general? The poly is supposed to be stiffer which will
result in better handling and a tighter ride, but I'm hesitant to try
it since I have heard poly can squeak something fierce. I think I'd
give up a little performance in exchange for not drawing the attention
of everyone at the local cruise-in as I pull in the lot going "squeak!
squeak! squeak!" :-) How about bushing durability? Does one wear
quicker than the other?
