I can't speak for Bruce's 6-pak setup specifically, but in general,
multiple barrels would allow you to open them sequentially, which
would give you precise air metering off idle but still allow for
a large CFM at the top end. Also, multiple smaller valves can
help to keep the air velocity up where a single, huge valve might
be at a disadvantage. I believe multiple valves would also allow
for crisper throttle response.
As far as the 6-pak setup goes though, technical issues aside,
the nostalgic cool factor is reason enough for me! :-)
