In this country.. What a truck is rated for is often irrelavant. Can it do
the job regardless of how far beyond the raings it is?? And when the need
arises for the absurd need or favor of "Can you pull this or move this";
How many domestic truck owners say things like "My truck is only a 1/2 T..
I can't move that load".. We just plain .. Do it.
My Dak was originally ordered with the ultra wimpy 1200# payload by some
nitwit.. But that's never stopped me from loading 2000-3500# on the back of
it. I don't do it every day; but I'd like to see even a Titan or Tundra
have some of my loads on them and see how they come back.. especially if
it's done to them after they pass 150K miles of rough use. Let alone the
Ridgeline.. designed for people hauling large loads of bubble wrap, or
packing peanuts.
