Re-welcome back to the DML Jerry :)

Might want to check your fuel pressure, you could also have a leaky
injector problem. Fuel injected engines rarely have a "flooding"
problem like carbed engines - so for you to be smelling fuel is unusual.
Where can you smell the fuel at? If the engine had a leaky injector -
eventually it would show itself in the form of a fouled plug with heavy
carbon build up... and possibly a misfire. If the engine is running
rich, it may or may not show a check engine light, however one would
think it would, given that the O2 sensor should detect the rich condition.

There are various sensors that can cause stalling problems too. A
throttle position sensor can cause issues, as well as a map sensor.
Idle control motor can do that too.
