Anyway, if you have patience and some background knowlege AND (most
importantly) the right tools, I'd say go ahead and give it a shot. I know
you get all the 4x4 rags, one of them had a writeup in probably their
March issue about setting up gears. It's a high level overview but it
will let you know what you're in for.
If you don't get a hefty discount through work on the master install kit,
I know a guy who can probably hook you up. His prices beat anything I've
ever seen (under $200 for D44 master & 4.88s, $450 for my Sterling 10.25"
rear master kit and 4.88s).
