problem is the truck won't start. My second problem is I do not have a
"Check Engine Light" when the truck is in the on position. I have checked
the vehicle for fuel and spark, both were good. The battery is showing
12V. I have double checked all of the fuses. I tried pulling the codes and
that's when I noticed the check engine light was not working. I checked the
bulb and it was fine. I ordered a new ECU from NAPA ($170) thinking that
had to be the problem, but after I installed the ECU I was still in the
same
spot. The truck will crank over but never starts. Another note, my
interior light has not worked for a few years, that bulb is fine also. I
would appreciate any suggestions or help I can get. <snip>>
Don't know why your not pullin codes or throwin a MIL...
Inspect the wiring in the harness, as per the other guys' thoughts...If
that's not it, you may wanna check the
Crankshaft Position Sensor. It's a mofo to get at, get out & replace, but it
sounds like a problem I hada coupla years ago..Cranked like a champ but
nothin else...
