Don't waste time and money. There is a wire that runs down from under the
fusebox underhood that has corroded at a "Y" splice, when you unwrap it you
will see a bunch of green powder, this splice can be between 5 to 12 inches
down from the box. You will have to cut open the loom and look for the wire.
It is the ignition on wire to the PCM I believe, but I don't remember what
color it it. This why you are getting no codes. I had this problem in 3
different Dakotas, I spent $1000 trying to diagnose the first truck, $5 to
fix the next two. Trust me, this IS the problem.
