today i was at a red light watching some kid play around with his clutch. he
was screwing around a bit, so i decided to pace him. he was riding a late model
hyundai tiburon.
He got way ahead of me, i had a poor launch, and well, im driving an auto
so....
second light comes, this time i put a little more emphasis on my launch. I
don't plant it from a stop, but i give the pedal a firm press, finally flooring
it.
He pulled ahead of me initially, and as i went thru 2nd i was able to catch up
to him a little bit, but after 50 it was no competition. He just pulled farther
and farther ahead of me. When i looked down again i was over 60 and he was
gone....
sob...things like that make me wanna go buy one of these...

a gallon of gas is...and then i wonder if I could strip my 3.9 to the block and
have it rebuilt.
if anyones wondering, its a 99 3.9L, Regular cab, V6, auto, fastman TB, Intense
performance intake, everything else is stock.
