Hehehe! Yeah, those belly pan gaskets are something else aren't they?
I've spent lots of time with scrapers and gasket remover getting those
things off. Usually I end up taking it over to the wire wheel bench
grinder.
I notice Mopar Performance recommends just replacing the belly
pan gasket with a bead of RTV. I'm guessing that's what you did
since you only spent $23 on the gaskets? (Unless you got a good
deal on 'em somewhere.) If so, how'd that work out for you? I'm
thinking a non-hardening RTV might be the way to go on these; it
would remain pliable enough to move and allow expansion of the
dissimilar metals, but hopefully not so pliable that pressure
or vacuum would blow it out.
